15th February International Childhood Cancer Day

H λέξη καρκίνος μοιάζει να έχει για κάποιους ανθρώπους χρώματα, μυρωδιές, αισθήματα, εικόνες, αναμνήσεις, θύμισες ίσως και πρόσωπα. Όλοι έχουμε ακούσει κάποια ιστορία γι’ αυτόν ή έχουμε ζήσει μία! Πάντα όμως, η λέξη παιδικός καρκίνος μοιάζει να μας καθηλώνει και να μας μουδιάζει περισσότερο. Ίσως γιατί αδυνατούμε να φανταστούμε παιδικές φατσούλες να υποφέρουν. Η ημέρα της 15ης Φεβρουαρίου είναι αφιερωμένη στον παιδικό καρκίνο και στους μικρούς του ήρωες.

Τα τμήματα της Fast track 2 και C senior 2 αφού ενημερώθηκαν τι σημαίνει παιδικός καρκίνος , τα αίτια , τα συμπτώματα και τις θεραπείες του αποφάσισαν να γράψουν λίγα λόγια απευθυνόμενοι στους μικρούς μαχητές που τον βιώνουν λέγοντας τα εξής:

Byron Β.: ‘Dear Brave warrior, In the middle of life’s storm you have a beacon of courage and strength. Your steadfast spirit is nothing short of an inspiration. Every day you face challenges with bravery. Remember you are not alone! Embrace hope and let the love that surrounds you be your shield’

Lydia Β.: ‘I know that you are going through a hard time right now but I hope you stay strong and continue fighting until you win! Remember that all of your close friends and family stand by you!’

Athanasia G.: ‘Life is hard but short too, so we have to enjoy it in every possible way. Keep your head up and Take care!’

Jim D.: ‘You will overtake it, I am sure! Tumor and those wrong-reated cells will be beaten! Have a nice day and I wish you get well soon!’

Paul G.: ‘Be strong, keep fighting and don’t give up! Take care, I wish I could take this pain away from you.’

Maritina P.:’ This journey may be exhausting but it will make you stronger! You may lose your hair because of chemotherapies, but being bald is a style that only cool people can support! Stay positive! I hope you get better soon and travel the world to inspire everyone!

Helen D.: ‘I am so proud of you! You are so strong and I know you will succeed!Think positively and everything is going to be OK!’

Theodore L.: ‘If you have cancer I hope you fight it! I wish you get better.’

Qeta K.: ‘ I can't even imagine what you may feel right now. I'm not sure what to say, but I want you to know that I care about you and I truly support you. Cancer begins with 'can' so I believe you can do this!!!I am always here for you. Keep on fighting and don't give up!’

Alexandros B.: ‘ Don't lose your strength.I am sure you will be the winner of this fight and you will be healthy for the rest of your life!’
